Children and adults begin the morning with a TuB'Shevat Seder reminding us of our connection to trees, plants, fruits and all living things. During the seder we taste special fruits and fruit drinks. Following that, children go to Sunday school and adults hear from Amanda Gallinat, PhD, Climate Change Ecologist. Amanda will lead us through a colorful and hands on program about the ecology of fruit and how climate change and species invasions alter the timing of seasonal events-- like leaf unfolding, fruit ripening, and bird migration-- in temperate forests. Read more about Amanda HERE. Read HERE about the humanisitic meaning of Tu B'Shevat.
